Hi there and thanks for checking out my blog! I love to write and document my experiences, so I figured this would be a great way to do just that. I hope it will be helpful for you too! Before jumping into anything else, I want to tell you a little more about myself.
Me in a Nutshell:
- My husband and I are both from Texas, but we actually met up in Bristol, Connecticut, while working for ESPN. I heard his name was “Austin”, and I knew that I had to meet the guy.
- We have two dogs that we love more than most human beings. They are our children, and our lives and decisions are often dictated by what we think is best for them. Bailey is a Chesapeake Bay Retriever, and Leon is a very interesting mix of a lot of different breeds, primarily pit bull. They are our very best friends. And we have one in doggy heaven, Duncan. He was only 5 when he left us in 2018, and we miss him every day.
- I have my undergrad and graduate degrees in Sport Management from Texas A&M University.
- I lived in Connecticut from 2013 thru 2017. Connecticut wasn’t my favorite, but man, it was so amazing to be so close to so many other awesome destinations.
- I have worked in the sports industry for my entire life.
- I am obsessed with all things Disney, but especially Walt Disney World.
- Christmas is the most magical time of the year, and nothing makes me more excited. I decorate on Halloween night since we don’t celebrate that, and I will listen to nothing else but Christmas music until it is over.
- I love to travel – like, LOVE it.
And that last point brings me to this blog. Whether it’s by car or plane, domestically or abroad, a budget-conscious trip or an all-inclusive experience – I am happiest when I am thinking about or planning my next trip. I’m not really one of those people that “can’t wait to get home” after a trip. I’m always thinking about where I can go next and what’s on the horizon to look forward to.
Here are just a few of the places that I will spend some time talking about!
Dominican Republic
Mexico (Cabo)
Hawaii
France (Paris/Normandy)
Colorado
Arizona
Waco, TX (Magnolia Silos/Silos Baking Co.,Magnolia Press, Magnolia Table)
All around the Northeast (Boston, New York City, Cape Cod, Washington D.C., Philadelphia)
Those are just a few of the places I’ve traveled more recently, but I will also talk about some great day trip ideas, travel tips, hotel and flight booking tips, and other places as I continue to explore more.
I hope to have some Disney content down the road, but at this time, won’t be having any of that until it’s approved.
I look forward to taking this journey with y’all! Please feel free to reach out with any questions you might have, any places you might want to know about, or any topics you want for me to discuss!
Keep exploring!
Courtney
